Michael A Salter has a mix of illustrative art on his site but what caught my eye were these giant robot sculptures. I love the simplicity of the top one, where he’s used plain boxes almost as pixels to create the shape, bound together with his own customised tape. Simple but brilliant. Kind of digital looking and handmade at the same time. Wouldn’t it be great if we had more outdoor sculptures like this in our parks and stations ? ( Obviously not of cardboard ) You could eat your lunch sitting on the feet of a huge robot - what’s not to like about that : )
