Screaming Russian Monsters And A Couple Of Jellyfish
I absolutely love these! They’re amazing. It’s so great the way you can see right into their mouths. I’ve been thinking recently how to make a monster lamp with light pouring out of his eyes and mouth, but i’ve not figured out the best material to make him in. I was thinking of making a prototype out of Fimo, but i’m not sure how fire proof it might be. ( I guess it must be fairly heat resistant as you cook it in the oven! ). Any ideas on good materials for making smooth 3d forms from? …. Anyway, back to the monsters. I found them over on ffffound, and they lead to this Russian site, so i have no idea who made them or if they are indeed from an animation. If you speak Russian help me find them. My best guess is Yan Le Coroller :)
Update: Yes it is - Here’s Yan’s Portfolio, some nice anims in there too :) See also Tayasui, Yan’s interface, application, and product designs. ( So that makes the monsters French not Russian btw )

That is such a good idea! I would love a monster reading lamp - with a flexible neck - how cool would that be??
I reckon you could use fimo - but email the manufacturers to check and see

Or maybe sculpey?
