Time-lapse Illustration In Flash
I got really quite engrossed watching this. I used to draw in flash a lot and i found it so much more intuitive than illustrator. Illustrator used to make me want to put my head through the monitor. I’ve got to that point with illustrator now where you don’t have to consciously think anymore, but i felt quite nostalgic watching the vid. There’s something much more natural and analogue about the drawing methods in flash. More of a heart warming experience. Flash has more soul than illustrator. Manipulating all those stupid nodes gets in the way of your train of thought!Sketch is by the very talented Merdanchik - who’s beautiful work i blogged about a while back.

And there was me thinking i was the only person in the world that thought Flash was a great tool for vector drawing and Illustrator a reason to give up living. I feel a little less dirty now… thank you. :)

I can so totally relate. Somehow drawing the same thing in Illustrator doesn’t have the same feeling of satisfaction.
Hands up who found drawing in Flash gave you better brush pressure handling compared to Illustrator?
ME ME! :D
